Version 1.0 · Effective September 15, 2026
1. Legal notice

Hosting

- Database and authentication: Supabase, Inc., 970 Toa Payoh North #07-04, Singapore 318992.
2. Purpose and acceptance
These terms govern the use of the Hopali service (the "Service") and the purchase of the Practice Pack, on the website, the web app and the iPhone app. Creating an account means you accept the terms of use (sections 3–6 and 10–14). Buying a Pack means you accept the terms of sale (sections 7–9). The applicable version is the one in force when you create your account or make a purchase. It remains available to read and download on hopali.app.
3. The Service
Hopali is an educational job interview simulator. Using a résumé, a job description, and public company information that you check, a fictional AI recruiter holds a real-time spoken interview with you and then produces feedback.
Hopali is a simulation. The AI recruiter does not represent any company, employer or agency. Feedback applies to the simulation only. It is not a professional assessment of you, and it does not predict or guarantee an interview, a job or any other outcome. AI-generated content may contain errors: how you use it is your decision. You can report an error from the feedback screen.
4. Access and account
The Service is for adults aged 18 and over, acting in a personal capacity. Sign-in uses Apple, Google or an SMS code. You must provide accurate information, and you are responsible for access to your account. Accounts are personal and cannot be transferred. Hopali uses reasonable efforts to keep the Service available but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation.
5. Free offer
Every verified account includes, free of charge: preparation of an application brief from the résumé and job description; one first HR interview of up to 10 minutes; and a feedback preview with one strength and one point to rework. The free offer is limited to one interview per person. Hopali may refuse the free offer if multiple accounts are created to get around this limit.
6. Your obligations
You agree to: only upload documents you are entitled to use, leaving out any unnecessary personal data about other people; review and correct the information extracted into your brief before the interview; not use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes, or to assist someone during a real interview; and not attempt to extract, copy or misuse the Service's models, instructions, content or code, or disrupt it (bots, getting around duration limits, reselling access). Hopali may suspend an account for a serious breach, after notifying you unless there is an emergency or a legal obligation. In that case, unused purchased minutes are refunded pro rata, except in cases of proven fraud.
7. The Practice Pack
Contents. A one-time purchase that includes: full feedback (five criteria scored 1–4 or "not observed", your own sentences quoted, an explained verdict); personalised exercises; access to the manager interview, the second stage of preparation; and 90 minutes of interview credit usable across all your applications.
Using minutes. You choose the length before each interview: HR interview of 10, 20 or 30 minutes, manager interview of 15 or 30 minutes. No interview can exceed 30 minutes. Only time actually used is counted, as measured by the server. An interview that fails to start uses no minutes, and reserved minutes you don't use are returned to your balance. If a technical incident caused by Hopali prevents feedback from being produced, the corresponding minutes are credited back. Minutes do not expire. You can buy the Pack again at any time, and minutes add up. Unlocked feedback remains available after your credit runs out, until you delete it or your account.
No subscription. There is no automatic renewal.
8. Price and payment
The Pack costs €24.99. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French Tax Code (CGI). The price shown when you order applies. On the App Store, the local price displayed by Apple applies.
- On the web, payment is processed by Stripe through RevenueCat. Hopali never receives or stores card details. A receipt is sent by email.
- On iPhone, the in-app purchase is processed by Apple under Apple's terms, including billing, refunds and payment disputes.
Credit is added to your account as soon as payment is confirmed. Purchases can be restored from Settings. If something goes wrong, do not buy again: email contact@hopali.app with the transaction reference, and never send card details.
9. Right of withdrawal
The Pack is digital content not supplied on a physical medium, and it starts being delivered as soon as you buy it: full feedback and the manager interview unlock immediately. Under Article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal no longer applies once you have, before purchase, (1) expressly asked for performance to start immediately and (2) acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. This consent is collected with a checkbox at checkout and confirmed on the receipt.
Our commitment beyond the law: if no Pack minutes have been used and no full feedback has been opened, you can request a full refund of a web purchase within 14 days by emailing contact@hopali.app. App Store purchases are refunded by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com).
Withdrawal form (where the right applies): "To Adeo Consulting, contact@hopali.app: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the contract for the Hopali Practice Pack ordered on [date], name [name], account email [email]. Date and signature (if sent on paper)."
10. Legal guarantees
You benefit from the statutory guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (Articles L224-25-12 to L224-25-26 of the French Consumer Code). If the content or service is not in conformity, you can have it brought into conformity, or failing that, obtain a price reduction or terminate the contract. Claims go to contact@hopali.app.
11. Liability
Hopali has an obligation of means. It is not liable for: the outcome of any real recruitment process or decisions based on feedback; errors in AI-generated content, which you are invited to check and report; inaccuracies from information you provided or from public company sources; or unavailability caused by your connection, your device or force majeure. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights, or Hopali's liability for gross negligence or personal injury.
12. Intellectual property
The Service, its brand, texts, visuals and code belong to the publisher. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for as long as you have an account. You keep all rights to your résumé, answers and brief. You authorise Hopali to process them only as needed to provide the Service (see the Privacy Policy). Your answers are not used to train AI models.
13. Term, account deletion and discontinuation
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes your briefs, your feedback and any remaining minutes, which are not refunded. The app reminds you of this before you confirm. If Hopali permanently discontinues the Service, users will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance, and unused minutes purchased in the previous 12 months will be refunded pro rata.
14. Changes
Hopali may update these terms. Material changes are notified at least 30 days before they take effect. Purchases already made remain governed by the version accepted at the time of purchase.
15. Complaints, mediation and governing law
Send any complaint to contact@hopali.app first. Hopali replies within 14 days. If the issue is not resolved within 2 months of your written complaint, you may refer it free of charge to the consumer mediator: CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France — https://www.cm2c.net/declarer-un-litige.php. These terms are governed by French law. As a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
